My most recent ride that I liked was up by Orick. On State/National park land. Lost man creek trail. The trail is a old inactive logging road. The most least used trail in the park. I'd say it is for more advanced fitness level person type ride. The trail goes up, and up, and up, and up, and then some more. After about 10 1/2 miles it reaches Bald hills road. Once you make it up to the ridge. You are on the state park boundary. Everything to the east is timber property. Numerous logging roads head east. The lower portion of lost man creek trail is pretty darn steep. It gets easier less steep further up the trail, but it is a ongoing climb the whole trail. With breaks at various spots. It is not so bad up on the ridge. Roller coaster type riding. If you can handle the lower portion it is a fun trail. I think round trip I was gone 2 hours and 45 mins.
I just got a handheld GPS unit so I hope to be out more after grow season ends ! In places I will not visit this time of year.
Anyone else been on Lost man creek trail ?
